Art
As we transition into the age of spatial computing, artists find themselves at an intersection of technology and creativity. They hold the power to redefine the way the world perceives and interacts with not just art digitally but these new digital environments themselves.
Specifically, artists of all mediums and curators are in the unique position to help reinvent what immersive experiences can be. As the medium continues to grow in popularity, the potential to redefine what virtual spaces can offer is a growing value proposition.
Treasury is a licensing and syndication platform that is uniquely positioned to help both artists of all media fingerprint, license, and syndicate their work into digital spatial environments for uses including event staging, virtual production, video game development, virtual learning, and much more.
Treasury enables both artists already active in immersive experiences, digital or otherwise, and those outside of of the digital medium engaging in performance, installation, painting, drawing, sculpture, to explore the digital spatial potential of their work.
Artists discover meaning and create value in the spatial computing age through:
- Reimagining user interactions Beyond the aesthetic value, artists can help answer the question: "What can these spaces mean for people? How can these spaces lead transformation?" As creators, artists are not only presenting visuals but generate experiences, emotions, and memories.
- Redefining a new medium Artists wield the power to not just create within this medium but to continually redefine it in ways that best suit their artistic vision and their practice as a whole. What spaces, moods, and stories can be crafted for the global audience?
- Archiving for the future In the ever-evolving digital age, protection and preservation are paramount. With longterm archiving, ensure your contributions are meticulously archived, in your preferred formats, for future development and exploration.
Treasury tools and services support artists with:
- Archiving and Fingerprinting It's time for accessible 3D archiving of digital versions of assets - making sure they are available for review, further use, and are fingerprinted against misuse. The Treasury Registry and Discovery Engine enable cost-effective archiving, and defend creativity against exploitation.
- Contracting Current practice in licensing of artwork doesn't prioritize protection and retention of digital rights. Treasury's Creator Contract and Registry are designed to ensure that architects' work is support by the most flexible and convenient rights and royalties model available – based on best practice in other licensing regimes including music and film. Treasury is made by creators for creators and believes your work always remains yours.
- Community Building Digital environments, and beloved physical places, have active communities of support. The Treasury Curate tool, Treasury Index, and the Activator program offer foundations for a new age of viewer participation, and artists being in conversation with their audiences.
- Hybrid Workflows The future of artistic creation is one where every piece will likely have some digital spatial presence – in addition to any other conventional output. Treasury tools supports creators to produce artworks that have lives outside their physicality.
- Support Services Treasury Studio helps the Treasury network by selecting third-party service providers to support creators along the asset pipeline - asset finishing and formatting, conversion, creative and operational project management, legal advisory, AI advisory and more.
To use Treasury tools, the first step is to archive your works in the Treasury Registry. This will help review and sort them, assess their value, and protect them against piracy.
Spatial assets can be added to Treasury Registry in any 2D format for the purpose of pre-listing: offering design work for requests and commissions by digital environment builders before a suitable 3D model, or even before complete rights allocation, have been developed.
Treasury helps position artists at the frontier of the ever changing digital presentation of art in all capacities.
